If you're still here(!): I'm cheerful, optimistic, easy-going, kind, considerate, honest, intelligent, open-minded, unselfish. Try to be non-judgmental (& manage most of the time!).

Love comedy (standup, Seinfeld, Frasier, Cheers, Father Ted), cinema (arthouse, foreign, the odd blockbuster), theatre (not too heavy).
Music-mad: Razorlight, Tom Baxter, Feist, Madeleine Peyroux, Ravel, Smetana. I'm a bad guitar player but good singer!

I like travel, other cultures & languages (well I am a translator!). When I travel I try to learn some of the language spoken there - so I get a different experience from my monoglot compatriots! Prefer small local hotels to luxury ones where they only speak English. But currently most of my travel is to & from Glasgow!

Chocaholic (Maya Gold: yum) but keep fairly fit (no beer gut/manboobs!). Swim & work out but not obsessively. Learned salsa on holiday & loved it so much I signed up for a local class. It's impossible to salsa to that music without smiling! Also did kayaking for first time since teens - great! And had great time sailing off Turkish coast.

Financially secure (mortgage paid off) but not materialistic. Frustrated creative.

Dislike loud brash people. 'Feisty' doesn't appeal - conjures up arguments, inflexibility, tantrums. I'm well-mannered (& like it in others) & take pride in my appearance.

I read lots: Independent; fiction & non-fiction - useful for the commute! Like Jasper Fforde (silly but clever!), Danny Wallace, Miles Kington (RIP)

I've a smashing 15yo son whom I love very much (& he knows it!). He's clever, kind, considerate, handsome - the girls are already circling! But enough about him - this is MY profile! (Would be great if you had a child his age)

I'm Scottish with Irish grandparents, living in London (can't think of a Welsh connection to complete the UK quartet, but give me time!).
